Allentown high school student had knife in locker, police say

Fraatz-Garcia Saratoga Police allegedly attacked a 25-year-old that shared an apartment with him prior to 5:44 a.m. Sunday, according to Saratoga Springs police. The two men argued inside their Avery Street residence, and Fraatz-Garcia choked the victim with his hands, according to police. The 25-year-old managed to escape, but Fraatz- Garcia then slashed him in the chest with a folding knife, causing a minor laceration, police said. The victim ran ouit of the apartment and contacted police.

A New Folding Knife from Knives of Alaska (And Other Knife Notes)

Police said Rony Betancourt returned to the school the morning of March 3 after being truant. A security officer searched Betancourt’s locker and found a folding knife with an 8-inch blade inside a jacket, according to court records. The 18-year-old Betancourt turned himself in at Allentown police headquarters Wednesday. Betancourt is charged with possession of a weapon on school property. He was arraigned by District Judge Donna Butler and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

Saratoga Springs man allegedly slashes roommate with knife

Fraatz-Garcia SARATOGA SPRINGS City police arrested an Avery Street man on felony assault charges after he allegedly slashed his roommate in the chest with a folding knife early Sunday morning. Gustavo E. Fraatz-Garcia, 30, was charged with second-degree assault with a deadly weapon. He was also charged with misdemeanor counts of second-degree menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and obstruction of breathing following his arrest at 5:44 a.m. Police were initially called to Avery Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers located a 25-year-old man with a minor slash wound to his chest. Further investigation revealed Fraatz-Garcia had gotten into a verbal argument with the man and began to choke him with his hands.
