Kinston police say it happened at Northeast Elementary School on Highway 11. Police say one student is an eight year old, while the other is nine. Lenoir County Schools says the weapons were apparently brought to school to show off. A student who saw one of the knives reported it to a teacher. Officers seized the weapons, but did not arrest the children.

Southwestern Indiana authorities say a 28-year-old man used a pocket knife to stab his uncle to death as the man was resting in a recliner.
