garrett asked Combat knife and shoulder sheaths?

I am looking for a Combat knife with a Shoulder Sheath for quick draw. Any suggestions?

I am also interested in Spring Assisted Pocket Knifes, so any suggestions on that are also very welcome.

And got the following answer:

Don’t have a lot of experience with shoulder sheaths the first link is of some custom harnesses that look to be good quality. For pocket knives check out Benchmades they are the best but spyderco is really close. Now for a combat knife check out ESEE Knives in my opinion they are the best I’ve carried the Rat-3 for two years now camping, hunting, and it’s with me know on my second deployment to Afghanistan. I have a klydex sheath with molle locks amazing setup for a vest if you’ll be using it in that way. Also ESEE has really nice neck knives not exactly what you looking for but something to think about or you could get a Rat knife and have a shoulder sheath made for it.

zig asked Which knife do you recommend for back up / hidden self defense knife?

Right now I am only aware of Ka Bar TDI, and it looks great. But I am wondering what else are good to have? Something I can hang from my neck under shirt, or upper arms or perhaps wrist ?

I know I will probably never (hopefully) have to use it on anyone. And probably it is going to be just for hobby / collectible items. But want to know what expert uses out there?

And got the following answer:

“K bar” is very nice and reliable, also try “Benchmade”

RUGERIZMISTICNESS asked What is your favorite or most used EDC knife?

title says it all folks (no auto)
Wow, I don’t see the point in Victorinox knives, but they are classical and have good quality. I just don’t see anything special. Spyderco knives open by themselves sometimes-major no.

And got the following answer:

I EDC three different ones daily at the same time (on belt, in pocket, on neck chain):

Kershaw Chive assisted open
Benchmade CQC-7
Cold Steel Mini Tanto

My preferred one is the Kershaw Chive, I also sometimes trade it out for the Kershaw Leek, it is a bit larger in size version of the Chive.

You can get the Kershaw’s at Walmart at a very reasonable price point and the are made in the USA. Good quality. Also my daughter EDC with the Kershaw Black Out – 1550ST assisted open (non of these are autos) and she loves it.
