review of my awesome pocket knife

Lil’ Man asked Where Can i Buy a Really Nice Butterfly knife?

i want to buy a butterfly knife but i cant find any good ones. i want a really nice one with awesome colors. i want a decent length but not too ilegally long haha. and i want the blade to go into the handle like a regular butterfly. not with the handle. none of that mock stuff. i use it for tricks but mine broke. im looking for a really nice design. and one with a good strong clip. mine is loose and opens in my pocket. id prefer one with a good clip. any suggestions?

And got the following answer:

I don’t do a whole lot with butterfly knives. I do a bunch with tactical knives and always get mine from these guys–they do a really good job. I have noticed that they carry butterfly knives, you may want to check them out.

LuckyStarrr asked Can I bring a knife across the canadian-american border?

I searched for this topic, but all I was able to find was stuff about guns and foodstuffs. This question applies to both my pocketknife and any swords/knives/sharp shiney things I might be able to buy in canada. I was saving up for all the seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but weapons are just SO awesome, i might buy one instead.

Our school is going on a spring trip to Canada soon, which is why I ask.

And the reason why i need it is that it is not just a pocketknife, it has screwdrivers, a flashlight, pliers, bottle opener, and it is shiney.
I <3 my knife and I bring it everywhere! Even to school cuz its a private school and we are allowed to do that. I keep it in my left jeans pocket. Or in my jacket. YAY KNIVES!!!

And got the following answer:

Since you are going to Canada on a school trip, I am thinking that you would not be allowed to purchase a knife, sword or weapon of any sort, or carry one, including a pocket knife. Be sure to check with your teacher before risking this.

Knives of certain types and sizes (usually longer than a 4″ blade, and/or double edged) can be considered a weapon, and weapons are not allowed over the border. At the very least they need to be declared.

I would highly recommend just forgetting about doing this across borders, esp. on a school trip.

Megan asked what should i get my bf for christmas?

I am having a hard time figuring out what to get my boyfriend for Christmas and I was hoping you guys could give me some ideas. He likes hunting and he plays a lot of video games and he is really big into computers (he built his own computer) his family has money so he has most of the things he wants any way so it’s hard to get gifts for him. I was going to get him a pocket knife with his name on it but I was hoping to get something else as well but I don’t know what. And ideas would really help. If you want more info on his likes or dislikes just ask.

And got the following answer:

You should get couple bracelets for both of you! I just got a pair of inexpensive but beautifully well made bracelets today from a leather bracelet shop. They have really cute couple bracelets and my boyfriend loves his! And it’s significant because you can wear the bracelets day to day and the leather looks awesome on guys and girls.

linda w asked can a convicted felon carry a pocket knife in New Mexico?

Well I have not been convicted yet but I was wondering if I can carry a pocket knife like the one where the clip shows on the outside of the pocket. It wasn’t a violent crime. And I’m not a violent person I’m a handyman of sorts and I use it a great deal to fix things around the work place and at home. I was just wondering If I can legally carry it in New Mexico. Thanks for your help you guys are awesome. sorry I’m using my mothers computer so she’s not the person In question.

And got the following answer:

There is nothing in the New Mexico knife laws that would preclude you from carrying anything except a switch blade. Felons are prohibited from owning a fire arm but can own cross bows and knives.

New Mexico – Criminal Offenses – 30-1-12. Definitions…
B. “deadly weapon” means any… weapon which is capable of
producing death or great bodily harm, including but not
restricted to any types of daggers, brass knuckles,
switchblade knives, bowie knives, poniards, butcher
knives, dirk knives and all such weapons with which
dangerous cuts can be given, or with which dangerous
thrusts can be inflicted, including swordcanes, and any
kind of sharp pointed canes…
– 30-7-2. Unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon… consists of
carrying a concealed… deadly weapon anywhere, except in
the following cases [own residence or property; private
automobile or other means of conveyance; official]… a
petty misdemeanor.
– 30-7-8. Unlawful possession of switchblades consists of any
person, either manufacturing, causing to be manufactured,
possessing, displaying, offering, selling, lending, giving
away or purchasing any knife which has a blade which opens
automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring
or other device in the handle of the knife, or any knife
having a blade which opens or falls or is ejected into
position by the force of gravity or by any outward or
centrifugal thrust or movement. Whoever commits unlawful
possession of switchblades is guilty of a misdemeanor.

New Mexico Case Law:
– “Jury to determine character of weapon…” (1973)
– “…a butterfly knife was a switchblade…” (1991)

matthardy1love asked What should I add to make chicken different?

So I’m making chicken for turkey (long story) and would like to spice it up a bit. I was thinking of some kind of sauce, chutney, etc. What do you think? I’m looking for an easy yet delicious recipe that will make the chicken special enough.

Also, I know some people will want it on the side so I’m thinking of roasting the chicken with some herbs.

Any suggestions would be awesome!!

Thank you very much and happy Thanksgiving!!

And got the following answer:

Here are my recipes for baking a chicken and home made cranberry sauce (which is NOTHING like that weird stuff in a can).

Chicken
¼ cup olive oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
Salt & pepper
1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
½ stick butter + ½ stick of butter
A roasting chicken

Chop the herbs, save the stems and pieces.
Preheat the oven to 325°
Remove the giblets from the chicken. (Save them for gravy or dressing.)
Take a knife and use it to loosen the skin over the breast, creating a pocket between the skin and the breast.
Place the chicken in a roasting pan, breast side up.
Tuck the wings under and tie the legs together with binding string to help the chicken hold its shape.
Take ½ stick of butter and the stems and pieces and stuff them in the pocket you created.
Mix the olive oil and fresh herbs. Rub the mixture over the chicken while wearing the gloves.
Sprinkle the chicken with S&P and paprika
Cook for about 20-25 minutes per pound or until the thermometer reads 170° when inserted into the thickest part of the thigh.
About half way through the cooking time baste with the remaining butter.
Remove the bundle of stems and pieces and untie the legs.
Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before carving.

Orangey cranberry sauce

1 tablespoon butter
1-12 oz package of fresh cranberries
¼ cup orange preserves
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

Wash and pick over cranberries.
Place butter and cranberries in a sauce pan over medium heat. Cook until the berries begin to burst (about 2 minutes), stirring occasionally.
Stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
